Research Assistants
CSAC is looking for Research Assistants to join its various research teams.
Successful applicants will join CSAC's international and
multidisciplinary research cluster. The candidates we are looking for
will focus on research projects that explore the relationship between
urban density, human comfort, environmental sustainability and
sustainability parameters/benchmarks. Candidates with appropriate
computing and design skills that include simulation and visualization
of urban designs optimized for the tropical climate are preferred.
Candidates currently pursuing a relevant PhD program at NUS are also
invited to apply.
The following are the basic requirements for the Research Assistant appointment:
- Possess at least a good Bachelor degree with a strong aptitude for research;
- Have
the capability to undertake large scale research projects under the
general guidance of the Principal Investigators, senior researchers and
faculty;
- Able to accurately monitor, document and report of research findings;
- Have abilities in data collection, management and analysis;
- Able to assist in report preparation; preparation of scientific manuscripts and other literature for publication;
- Able to contribute to project management, provision of guidance to undergraduate students, and other duties as assigned.
- Candidates with knowledge of GIS and computer modeling techniques relating to design applications would be preferred.

Management Assistant Officer
CSAC is looking for a Management Assistant Officer to provide research related support for the Centre which includes processing of academic research fund applications, arrange for meetings, maintain documentation, manage external grants applications, monitor funds check for research grants and coordinate programmes. You will also provide administrative and logistical support which includes event management, sourcing for vendors, prepare publicity materials, responding to public enquiries, handling registration of participants and performing general administration for the Centre. In addition, you will be providing support to handle finance related matters, updates on the Centre's website and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- GCE 'A' Level or Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant working experience
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Possess good organization skills, positive attitude with a pleasant personality
- Demonstrated maturity and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to details and able to work under tight schedules
