This content of this segment would include the capacity and site in which the BIM Centre would hold and be situated respectively. The BIM Centre is estimated to accommodate 10 workers and the maximum amount of visitors that is allowed into the BIM Centre at any one time would be about 100. Stipulating the capacity of the BIM Centre is vital as it directly affects the usage of the site area and the planning of the layout of the BIM Centre. With that, the BIM Centre will incorporate a studio, an office, two meeting rooms, canteen as well as a BIM lab which would be designed as the focal point.

After the modelling of the project, various energy analysis and clash detection analysis can be performed. Reports of the analysis will provide the designers on the issues that need to be paid close attention to. Modification or changes of design would be expected. Cost analysis will be conducted so as to ensure that it is in line with what the client is willing to offer. Design consultants should advise the designers on the cost, as they act as the representative for the client.

An interactive environment refers to the use of computer-based media to show simulation or animation which will enhance communication amongst individuals. In addition, the team looks into aesthetically unique buildings which will capture sustainable design concepts that are able to integrate well into the surrounding.

As BIM is an emerging tool in the construction industry, our team has derived the conceptual idea of the shape of an airplane which symbolises BIM technology is in the process of development and flourish. Working along this train of thoughts, a building which takes the shape of the plane is envisaged together with the integration of greenery. Appendix B shows the development of our preliminary designs.
