Work Experience Internship (WEI) aims to recognise approved internships of at least 10 weeks in duration during the vacation period. The module is graded on a CS/CU basis. Please approach the department coordinator(s) for recognition as WEI before embarking on the internship. (Each Department may issue individual application deadlines.)
WEI will be opened to full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least 60MCs (but not graduating in the same Academic Year). WEI is accessible to students who had previously completed credit-bearing internship stints (up to a total maximum of 16 MCs), provided the workscope is substantially differentiated from previously completed internships.
The Department of Architecture and the Division of Industrial Design will offer the WEI starting from AY2016/2017 Special Term. Undergraduates from the Department of Building and the Department of Real Estate can participate in the WEI from AY2017/2018 Special Term.
